Texas Ratio

(Updated 4/2/20)

The table below shows all of the Banks that currently have a Texas Ratio at or above 100 based on the 4th Quarter of 2019.  All data comes from the FDIC SDI database (Lines 8, 11, 26, 32, 33) and does not include Loans backed by the Government as they were subtracted out.   Also there are a number of factors that can cause a Bank to have a high Texas Ratio so that doesn't mean the Bank will fail.

As of the 4th Quarter of 2019 "9" Banks had a Texas Ratio of 100 or above while 20 Banks had a Texas Ratio between 50 and 99.   There are now 5176 Banks so 0.2% have a Texas Ratio above 100.  However, keep in mind, back in late 2007, there were nearly 8500 banks so roughly 3320 (39%) have closed in the last 13 years.
